Dr. Di HU obtained her B.Sc. degree in Applied Chemistry from Peking University and a Ph.D. degree in Atmospheric Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Hu is currently an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry, and her main research interests are: 1) origins and chemical transformations of organic pollutants in the atmosphere; 2) development and application of advanced analytical techniques for the identification and quantification of various organic species and elements in atmospheric fine particulates and other complex matrices; 3) characterization and source apportionment of PM2.5-associated toxicity. Dr. Hu has published a number of peer-reviewed research papers in top-tier journals in the field, including the Journal of Hazardous Materials, Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics, Environmental International, Environmental Pollution, JGR-Atmosphere, Atmospheric Environment, and so on.
